About the Role: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to provide tailored support for pupils with behavioural needs. You’ll help foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where every child can succeed. Key Responsibilities of Behaviour Support Assistant: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural needs Assist with classroom activities and implement behaviour management strategies Support the delivery of individual behaviour plans (IBPs) and interventions Monitor and record pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals Requirements: Experience supporting children with behavioural needs in an educational setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for inclusive education Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management or education (desirable) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks; including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
