Overview
Temporary to Permanent, Immediate Start. Our client in Uddingston specialises in fresh and frozen food services and handles loading cages from one of the UKs largest supermarkets. They are looking for an additional night shift driver to start immediately.
You will drive a Cat C+E double-decker on a route from Uddingston to East Kilbride, assist with loading cages, proceed to Cairnryan for a trailer swap, then return to East Kilbride to unload cages and back to Uddingston. This role offers consistent night work in a supportive and professional environment with the potential to join the employers team permanently based on performance.
Responsibilities
* Drive a Cat C+E double-decker on the specified route (Uddingston -> East Kilbride -> Cairnryan -> East Kilbride -> Uddingston).
* Assist with loading and unloading cages as required.
* Complete required paperwork and use handheld scanners as part of day-to-day duties.
* Adhere to all safety, compliance, and driver hours regulations.
Hours & Shift Pattern
9.30pm start, finish typically around 5.00am-7.00am. Five nights over seven, Sunday to Friday. Rota for 6 weeks given in advance. Length of shift varies between 8 to 9.5 hours.
Pay & Benefits
* Temporary rate: £15.36 per hour (PAYE).

About You
* Valid HGV licence (Class 1 C+E).
* Up-to-date Driver CPC and tachograph card.
* Reliable with willingness to work night shifts.
* Comfortable with using handheld scanners and completing paperwork.
