Are you a confident, enthusiastic individual looking to support students in a classroom setting? Do you have the ability to manage behaviour, engage learners, and deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of a teacher?
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Harrow. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the assigned teacher
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects (no planning or marking required)
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Support students in staying on task and engaging with the lesson material
* Provide feedback to the regular class teacher on pupil progress and behaviour
Requirements:
* Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; A-levels or degree desirable
* Previous experience working with young people (in schools, tutoring, youth work, etc.)
* Strong classroom presence and excellent communication skills
* Ability to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
* Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive attitude
