Job Description
Our client, a highly acquisitive business in the Energy sector, is looking to integrate a new function into their business which will focus on the capture and effective usage of all historical and current data emanating from the various business units.
A key role within this is that of the Application Integration Manager who will focus on IT System Integration, application support and data architecture. This role will be instrumental in consolidating and supporting applications across finance, offshore assets, renewables and CRM systems. The successful candidate will gain support from system managers, data engineers and BI Specialists, allowing them to architect and manage the integration plan.
A key aspect of this role is engaging with operational business units to understand their existing applications, workflows, and integration needs, ensuring future system architecture supports business goals and fosters effective interaction between applications.
Key responsibilities:
IT & Systems Integration
* Architect and implement secure, scalable integrations across numerous systems.
* Design, develop, and maintain integration processes (APIs, ETL pipelines, middleware solutions).
* Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to ensure reliable, secure, and optimised integrations.
* Maintain clear documentation of data flows, integration logic, and system dependencies
Application Support & Business Engagement
* Work directly with business units to understand their current applications and workflows.
* Identify opportunities for application rationalisation, consolidation, or enhancement to support operational needs.
* Provide hands-on support for key applications, resolving system issues and optimising performance.
* Assist in defining future application requirements and evaluating potential software solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
* Coordinate with System Coordinators/Managers to align integration plans with functional needs and timelines.
* Partner with the Planner to schedule resources and manage interdependent project deliverables.
* Support the Business Integration Manager in understanding application implications of restructuring activities, including entity setup, compliance, and cross-system alignment.
Project & Resource Management:
* Lead technical workstreams in integration projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Manage data engineering and technical resources, delegating tasks and overseeing delivery.
* Track milestones, manage risks, and ensure quality throughout the integration lifecycle
Data Quality & Governance
* Oversee data migration, transformation, and validation processes with data engineers.
* Ensure data integrity and coherence across systems through robust controls and testing.
* Support data governance efforts by maintaining consistent standards and protocols across all integrations.
Candidates should have proven experience in IT application integration and support roles. The successful candidate will also have strong technical know-how and expertise within APIs, middleware technologies and interoperability.
Any exposure to Access Dimensions, CSAM and Salesforce is beneficial but not essential.
