Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer – 12 month contract (Aberdeen)
A Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer is required to provide discipline engineering support to UK operations, ensuring equipment integrity, delivering maintenance plans in line with strategy, and supporting plant optimisation.
Critical Responsibilities
* Ensure all activities are carried out safely, complying with regulatory requirements, legislation, and company HSEC procedures.
* Assure SECE degradation / threat management risk assessments and maintenance deferment risk assessments.
* Lead and manage safe and environmentally prudent operations, complying with regulatory requirements, company HSEQ procedures, asset‐specific performance standards and engineering standards.
* Monitor equipment/system performance, initiating and ensuring corrective actions.
* Provide discipline engineering and maintenance support to UK operations.
Ethics and Compliance
Ensure all activities and behaviours comply with company Ethics and Compliance Policies and complete any compulsory compliance training.
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence
* Oversee mechanical rotating equipment SECE gap closure implementation plans.
* Provide budget input/scope for maintenance and modifications.
* Continuously challenge technical solutions, engineering performance and cost of modification projects.
* Raise TWMs for complex technical solutions and modifications.
* Provide an optimised preventive maintenance programme with detailed work packages for UK operated assets.
* Assure rotating equipment elements of the Technical MoC Process.
* Manage equipment performance including spare‑part management and warranty follow‑up.
* Mobilise offshore as required by business.
* Join the emergency response rota if required.
Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience
* Engineering degree level or equivalent HND/HNC; Chartered Engineer status and corporate professional membership preferred.
* Understanding of processes required to meet HSE objectives; fully conversant with UK regulatory environment.
* Significant operational and engineering experience with prior relevant technical experience.
* Offshore experience.
* Self‑driven, strong personal leadership, teamwork, and drive toward optimal business solutions.
* Excellent communication, influencing, negotiating and networking skills; builds excellent relationships.
* Ability to drive continuous improvement and instigate change.
* Set ambitious, yet realistic goals and consistently achieve these.
* Understanding of corporate and local budget, maintenance and project management processes and tools.
* Awareness of company’s HSEQ policies, business management system (BMS) and values & business principles.
