Job summary
Dr R K Arora is a well-organised, friendly and long-established GP Practice based in the modern and spacious Lyng Centre in West Bromwich. We have an exciting opportunity for a receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team.
The ideal start date will be in October 2025, but we are willing to wait a bit longer if the right candidate is found.
We are offering a part-time role with 26.25 hours spread across 5 days. Morning shifts start at 08:00 and evening shifts finish at 18:30. We also offer extended hours on a Wednesday and a Thursday where we are open until 20:00. Reception staff cover this shift on a rota basis and this is paid at an enhanced rate.
APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO COVER BOTH MORNING AND AFTERNOON SHIFTS AND BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EXTENDED HOURS ROTA.
Experience within the healthcare sector is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

You will be required to work in a team of medical receptionists on a rotational basis to cover core opening hours. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills to cover a range of reception duties including:
* answering the phone
* dealing with patient queries
* booking appointments in accordance with protocols
* liaising with members of the clinical and non-clinical team
* helping out with prescriptions
* answering the door
