New Business Sales - Tech Business Development Manager (Telecom Solutions)
Field based (Onsite as required)
Up to £65,000 base depending on experience with OTE
We are seeking a driven, strategic Senior Business Development Manager to spearhead new business growth across targeted verticals, selling innovative telecom solutions that drive digital transformation. This role is ideal for a high-performing B2B sales professional with deep telecom experience and a passion for building greenfield accounts.
You'll lead the charge in identifying, developing, and closing high-value opportunities, positioning a robust portfolio of telecom products-including voice, data, internet, and unified communications-as mission-critical infrastructure for enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Acquisition -Identify and target net-new accounts across relevant sectors, engaging key decision-makers in IT, operations, and procurement.
Lead a consultative sales approach to uncover needs and position telecom solutions as strategic enablers.
Solution Selling & Proposal Development- translate complex business needs into tailored telecom solutions, including managed services, cloud communications, IP telephony, and high-speed connectivity.
Build ROI-driven business cases and deliver persuasive proposals aligned with client objectives.
Stakeholder Management & Relationship Building- Engage with senior stakeholders (CIOs, IT Directors, Heads of Digital, and Facilities leaders) to build lasting, trust-based relationships.
Navigate complex buying cycles and influence multi-level decision-making processes.
Market Development & Industry Engagement - Attend industry events, technology expos, and networking forums to build pipeline and enhance visibility.
Forge partnerships with consultants, integrators, and technology allies to extend market reach.
Sales Performance & Pipeline Management - Own the full sales lifecycle-prospecting, pitching, closing, and onboarding.
Maintain CRM discipline with accurate pipeline forecasting, activity tracking, and reporting to leadership.
What You'll Bring:
Proven success in B2B telecom sales, with experience in new business development across sectors.
Demonstrable knowledge of voice/data infrastructure, managed services, and cloud-based telecom platforms.
Strong commercial and strategic acumen with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
Outstanding communication and executive-level negotiation skills.
Confidence managing complex deals and multi-stakeholder environments.
High-growth/start-up or scale-up background within telecom or adjacent tech industries is a strong advantage.
