About you
You love supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity of young children and are seeking a role to kick start your career in Early Years Education. You have a nurturing, open, warm, and positive outlook, care about learning standards, and want to shape the future of the younger generations.
What you'll be doing
An early years apprentice at Storal will receive on-the-job training to build a career working with children from birth to five years old, alongside studying for a qualification. Your daily tasks will include:
1. Assisting with activities supporting learning and development, following health and safety procedures, and helping with physical care (feeding, napping, hygiene).
2. Observing and supporting children’s social, emotional, and physical development under experienced staff supervision.
3. Working with qualified early years staff for mentoring, feedback, and guidance.
4. Learning child protection protocols, reporting procedures, and maintaining a safe, hygienic environment.
5. Understanding regulations like the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
6. Developing communication skills with children, families, and staff.
What you'll need
* The right attitude and abilities
* Experience working with children under 5 or as an Early Years Educator is advantageous
* Knowledge of the EYFS is desirable
