Please contact Dr Liam Scott, ICU Consultant and Consultant Lead for ACCPs, via email: liam.scott@nbt.nhs.uk for further information.
ACCPs are clinical professionals that form part of the multidisciplinary team responsible for patient care during an ICU admission. They are highly experienced and educated practitioners who have developed their skills and theoretical knowledge to a very high standard. They are empowered to make high-level clinical decisions to ensure that patients receive timely, personal, and effective care. The ACCP role is a new way of working for health professionals, which crosses professional boundaries. ACCPs are developed from experienced nurses, physiotherapists, paramedics or other related health care professionals.
ACCPs are a relatively new addition to the ICU at Southmead Hospital, and we hope to continue expanding the service into the future. We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to join our two existing qualified ACCPs. The post-holders will already be experienced clinicians with critical care experience, and possess the drive and desire to contribute to our expanding service.
North Bristol NHS Trust employs over 12,000 staff providing healthcare to the residents of Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset from our award-winning hospital building at Southmead. We are the regional Major Trauma Centre, and an internationally recognised centre of excellence in a range of services and major specialities. Our vision is that by enabling our teams to be the best that they can be, we will provide exceptional healthcare, personally delivered.
North Bristol NHS Trust values all people as individuals. We aim to be an anti-discriminatory organisation and are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We welcome applicants from all underrepresented groups.
