Project Manager / Business Analyst T1 Settlement Specialist Location: London (Hybrid) Contract: Day rate, Outside IR35 We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Business Analyst with strong expertise in settlement operations to lead a critical T1 settlement project for a leading financial services organisation. This role will be central to preparing the business for the UKs move from T2 to T1 settlement (effective October 2027) and ensuring successful integration of processes, systems, and controls to support the accelerated cycle. The Role As both a hands-on Business Analyst and structured Project Manager, you will drive the delivery of a settlement change programme, working across operations, technology, and compliance. You will ensure the organisation is fully prepared to meet regulatory requirements, reduce operational risk, and maintain client confidence in a T1 environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end management of a T1 settlement readiness programme, covering analysis, planning, delivery, and reporting. Conduct gap analysis of current settlement workflows, identifying required changes to processes, systems, and controls. Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams to define and implement effective solutions. Develop and document business requirements, functional specifications, and target operating models. Provide structured project governance, status reporting, and stakeholder management at senior levels. Ensure readiness testing, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance ahead of go-live. Skills & Experience Proven track record in settlement operations and change delivery within investment management, banking, or capital markets. Strong dual experience as Project Manager and Business Analyst, able to switch between strategic oversight and detailed analysis. Expertise in trade lifecycle and settlement processes, ideally with exposure to regulatory change programmes. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
