Imperial Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a well-established fabrication business at an exciting stage of growth. As Production Supervisor, you’ll play a key leadership role on the factory floor, with real influence over people, processes, quality, and delivery performance.
You’ll be trusted to take ownership of day-to-day production, act as the central link between two manufacturing sites, and help drive continuous improvement, quality standards, and employee development. For the right person, this role offers visibility, responsibility, and genuine scope to progress.
Key Responsibilities
Production Oversight
* Ensure employees have the correct tools, materials, and instructions to complete tasks
* Monitor progress across departments to ensure deadlines are met
* Support the Manufacturing Manager with continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
* Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
Production Planning & Scheduling
* Support production scheduling based on customer demand and stock levels
* Monitor and adjust plans to meet changing priorities
* Ensure a smooth workflow from CAD office to factory floor
* Coordinate vehicle availability to support production and logistics
Employee Management & HR Reporting
* Act as first point of contact for factory floor employees
* Motivate teams to support overtime and travel where required
* Monitor attendance, lateness, and absenteeism, reporting to HR and management
* Support training and development initiatives
Stock, Materials & Fleet Management
* Maintain oversight of stock levels and material availability
* Check incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes
* Support efficient stock usage and storage
* Oversee company vans, including scheduling, maintenance, and compliance
Quality, Training & Safety
* Drive improved quality standards across all production processes
* Ensure products meet internal and customer specifications
* Carry out skills audits and maintain training matrices
* Coach, mentor, and develop employees to support internal progression
* Promote and enforce health & safety standards at all times
Experience & Qualifications
* Previous supervisory or team leader experience in manufacturing
* Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, stock systems)
* Full UK driving licence preferred
