Site Construction Supervisor (M&P Bias) – Outside IR35

Duties:
Our client is seeking an experienced Site Construction Supervisor with a strong Mechanical & Piping (M&P) background to oversee critical site works on our ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will also bring solid exposure to HVAC systems, fire protection systems (sprinkler and foam), and a good understanding of E&I disciplines.
This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring a proactive leader who can ensure safety, quality, and coordination across multiple workstreams and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
* Uphold our clients safety standards by ensuring excellent coordination of all on-site works, supported by the Construction and Safety Manager.
* Chair daily coordination meetings, working closely with the Safety Advisor, Planner, and relevant engineering leads.
* Supervise sub-contractor activities on site, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and quality requirements.
* Maintain a strong presence on site to drive safety compliance and ensure workmanship quality.
* Resolve technical queries by liaising with our clients project design team, applying practical and pragmatic engineering judgment.
* Support the management and securing of CDM site/work areas to enable efficient construction activities.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in construction supervision within a process or industrial environment.
* Strong Mechanical & Piping (M&P) bias, with working knowledge of HVAC, firefighting systems (sprinkler and foam), and E&I interfaces.
* Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
* Safety-conscious mindset, with a proactive approach to managing site conditions.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors.
