We’re working with a well-established and highly regarded regional law firm that is looking to recruit an experienced Court of Protection Fee Earner into its growing team in Leighton Buzzard.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing Court of Protection experience who is looking to join a supportive and respected firm with a strong reputation for client care and specialist private client work.
The Role
* You’ll be managing a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters, supporting vulnerable clients and working closely with families, deputies, local authorities, and other professionals.
* Key responsibilities include:
* Managing Court of Protection files from instruction through to completion
* Day-to-day management of Deputyship matters
* Handling Property and Financial Affairs Deputyship cases
* Preparing Court of Protection applications and supporting documentation
* Liaising with clients, families, local authorities, medical professionals, and other third parties
* Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations and Court of Protection procedures
* Providing exceptional levels of client care throughout the lifecycle of each matter
* Managing your own caseload efficiently and effectively
About You
* Previous experience handling Court of Protection matters
* Experience working as a Fee Earner or Paralegal within Court of Protection or Private Client work
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Excellent client care and interpersonal abilities
* A compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with vulnerable clients
* Ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision
* Strong attention to detail and case management skills
