Yorkshire Water Graduate Scheme Technology Future Leader
Salary & Benefits
Starting salary: £32,000, rising to £37,000 by end of year 2
Extras: £2,000 signing bonus, annual bonus, 25 days holiday + bank holidays + wellness day
Pension: Up to 12% company contribution

Work type: 37 hours per week between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm Monday Friday

Your Graduate Programme
Our two-year programme offers you five placements across your allocated business area, complemented by a choice of placements to suit your personal development needs in core functions such as Finance, Health & Safety, People, and Procurement, enabling you to have a balanced understanding of the business. Youll gain hands-on experience, technical and leadership training, and support from mentors, managers, graduate alumni, and our Early in Careers team to support you from the day you make the decision to join us.
By the end of the scheme, youll be ready to step into a permanent role and make a lasting impact.
You dont need to have a technology degree, but you will need a keen interest in technology and how it can enable the business.
Your Team:
Technology is at the heart of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
The role of a Graduate Technology Future Leader is a vital one as you will help ensure that water quality targets and standards relating to specific legislation are met. This will ensure that we provide our customers with a wholesome water supply that everyone can enjoy.
Your Role:
As a Graduate Technology Future Leader you will:
Undertake placements in the different teams the make up the Technology function, such as Architecture, Change, Infrastructure and Operations, Data and Security
Develop your technology knowledge and business skills; we expect our Technology Future Leaders to move into junior tech leadership roles such as Junior Project Manager
Work as part of a larger team to deliver solutions to business problems; some of the roles that you might work in are as a project analyst, operations specialist, PMO analyst, data governance specialist, security specialist
For your duration on the programme you will be assigned a line manager and a mentor from within the senior tech community
What youll need to be successful:
Minimum 2:1 Bachelors degree.
An interest in technology, and how it can be used to solve business problems - there is no expectation that you will be able to code
Security vetting Yorkshire Water will facilitate this for successful candidates
