Overview
Senior Manager, Global IT Infrastructure and Operations at New England Biolabs. The role is based at our Ipswich, MA headquarters and leads the company’s global IT infrastructure and operations, including Network Operations, High Performance Computing, Security Operations, Cloud/Server/Endpoint Management, and Helpdesk Operations. The position emphasizes business relationship management, advanced technical expertise, and automation to manage hybrid on‑premises and outsourced services and ensure high-quality service delivery aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a strategic vision for global I&O that aligns with business goals and drives technological innovation
* Build and maintain strong relationships with business units and the scientific community to understand needs and ensure I&O services align with priorities
* Develop and manage the I&O budget, ensuring cost-effective resource use and alignment with strategic priorities
* Establish and manage relationships with external service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and performance
* Collaborate with the CISO and Director of IT to implement and monitor robust risk management practices to protect infrastructure and data
* Build and lead a high-performing I&O team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and professional growth
Required qualifications and experience
* Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field
* 12+ years of experience in infrastructure and operations management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
* Demonstrated expertise in business relationship management and stakeholder engagement
* Extensive experience with cloud platforms (primarily Azure) and on-premises infrastructure
* Strong understanding of network architecture, virtualization, and storage solutions
* Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices
* Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost optimization
* Ability to align IT strategies with business objectives and drive value through technology
* Experience in negotiating and managing vendor contracts and partnerships
