Apply Save Prospect Health is proud to be working on behalf of a highly respected veterinary organisation in search of a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join their modern and well-equipped hospital in Sunderland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet looking to make a real impact by delivering high-quality clinical care to pets in need, while working within a team driven by purpose, collaboration, and compassion-not sales targets.
The Opportunity:
1. Work with a passionate and dedicated team in a hospital setting that sees a wide variety of clinical cases every day
2. Focus on achieving strong clinical outcomes rather than meeting commercial targets
3. Collaborate with a supportive group of veterinary professionals who share knowledge, skills, and case discussions
4. Flexible working options are available, including full-time, part-time, and hybrid models to support your work-life balance
5. Be an advocate for client engagement, resource efficiency, and the continued improvement of clinical services
6. The Hospital Environment:
7. Modern facilities including separate dog and cat wards, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, and extensive orthopaedic equipment
8. A varied caseload with support from experienced colleagues with broad clinical interests
9. Flexible weekend rota with enhanced pay and compensatory time off during the week
Ideal Candidate:
10. RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
11. Comfortable managing a busy and varied caseload
12. Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and adaptable approach
13. A genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of pets and their owners
14. Passionate about clinical care and open to mentoring and leading by example
Package & Benefits:
15. Competitive salary depending on experience
16. CPD Allowance: £1,000 + 1 week per year
17. Full RCVS fees covered
18. Access to internal CPD programmes and discounted rates for major veterinary events (BSAVA, LVS)
19. 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days per year
