We are seeking passionate SEND Teachers across KS2, KS3 and KS4 to join our growing specialist school from September 2026. With multiple roles available and ECTs warmly welcomed, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive and inclusive setting.
Lady Byron School is seeking to appoint multiple enthusiastic and committed SEND Teachers to join our growing team across Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
We are looking for skilled classroom practitioners who are passionate about inclusive education and determined to help every pupil thrive. This is an exciting opportunity for teachers who believe in high expectations, personalised learning and creating meaningful progress for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
About the Role
As a SEND Teacher at Lady Byron School, you will:
•Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of pupils with SEND
•Adapt teaching to respond to individual strengths, needs and EHCP outcomes
•Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
•Promote pupil progress in academic, social and emotional development
•Use effective assessment, feedback and behaviour strategies to support learning
•Work closely with leaders, practitioners, families and multi-agency professionals
•Contribute to a broad, engaging and well-sequenced curriculum
•Support pupils to develop communication, independence and confidence
These roles may suit teachers with strengths in primary, secondary, nurture, communication and interaction, SEMH, cognition and learning, or functional curriculum delivery.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking candidates who have:
•Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or are due to achieve this – ECTs encouraged to apply)
•Experience or a strong interest in teaching pupils with SEND
•Strong knowledge of effective adaptive teaching and inclusive classroom practice
•High expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour and personal development
•The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
•A commitment to safeguarding, equality and pupil wellbeing
•A reflective and resilient approach, with a willingness to contribute to school improvement
