As part of this expansion, the consultancy is looking to appoint a Sustainability Consultant to join its London team. This role is well suited to someone with a strong grounding in Building Physics, who is looking to broaden their exposure to Whole Life Carbon (WLC) within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
The Role
You’ll work closely with senior consultants and technical leads to deliver sustainability and building performance services across a broad range of projects. The role is technically focused, with an emphasis on building physics and operational energy, alongside exposure to Whole Life Carbon assessments.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver building physics and energy modelling services to support low‑carbon design.
* Undertake dynamic thermal modelling, overheating analysis and operational energy studies.
* Support Whole Life Carbon assessments, working alongside more experienced carbon specialists where required.
* Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers and wider design teams to influence sustainable outcomes.
* Contribute to sustainability strategies and reports for planning and design stages.
* Support senior team members with project delivery and client engagement.
About You
* Experience working in a sustainability or building physics consultancy environment.
* Strong technical capability in Building Physics / Energy Modelling (IES‑VE or similar).
* Some exposure to Whole Life Carbon or embodied carbon assessments (you do not need to be a carbon specialist).
* A good understanding of low‑carbon design principles and building performance.
* Comfortable working collaboratively within multidisciplinary design teams.
* Keen to continue developing both technical and client‑facing skills.
Why Join?
Join a growing Sustainability team with clear investment and long‑term plans in London.
* Work within a multidisciplinary consultancy where sustainability is integrated with building services, structures and cost consultancy.
* Gain exposure to both Building Physics and Whole Life Carbon, with scope to specialise over time.
* Strong support for professional development, training and career progression.
* Opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of projects across multiple sectors.
