Overview
Gearbox Design Engineer role at Cadillac Formula 1 Team. Working at the forefront of motorsport innovation, you will own the design and detailing of gearbox components and complete transmission systems—from initial concept through to racetrack performance. This involves:
* Engineering and packaging high-performance transmission systems, including metallic and composite components
* Influencing and guiding design, feasibility, compliance documentation, and assembly
* Close collaboration with cross-functional departments to optimize integration, ensure reliability, and uphold the highest quality standards in design and manufacturing

Requirements
Driven by high performance What do you need to bring to the team?
Experience in high-performance motorsport or automotive engineering is essential, preferably in Formula 1, WEC, IndyCar or similar categories. You must also have:
* BEng / MEng in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or similar technical discipline
* Proven experience in the end-to-end design and packaging of precision gearbox and transmission systems under high load and temperature environments
* Strong proficiency in CAD (preferably Siemens NX or CATIA 3DX), with in-depth knowledge of GD&T and complex tolerance stacks
* Sound understanding of structural design, rotating systems, lubrication and FIA technical regulations
* Experience with carbon composite gearbox housings and hybrid system integration is desirable
