A bit about the role Our Residential Support Worker is an entry level role where you don't need previous experience or qualifications, we're looking for a positive attitude and the desire to give the best care to children and young people. About the service McCarthy House is a 4-bedded therapeutic residential home for children and young people between the ages of 7-17 years. We provide support for young people who are likely to have experienced early childhood trauma. You would be a part of a dynamic team to support and encourage our young people to reach their full potential. Some young people may experience low self-esteem, anxiety, depression and have poor communication skills which can lead to disruptive behaviours and a positive compassionate attitude is paramount. How you'll help to create brighter futures as a Residential Support Worker As a Residential Support Worker, you will help our team provide a safe, stimulating, fun and caring environment, supporting the children in all aspects of their care on the night shift. Supporting the service we provide to children and young people, including medication requirements (full training is provided). Taking responsibility for the personal care and routines of the young people. Supporting the young people to achieve positive outcomes. Being responsible for the safeguarding of the young people. Managing paperwork and files whilst adhering to our procedures and policies. Let's talk about you.
