Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Reporting
Prepare and submit UK corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory deadlines.
* Calculate and manage quarterly corporation tax payments on account.
* Prepare and submit quarterly UK VAT returns and monthly CIS returns, including reconciliation of control accounts.
* Calculate and manage monthly corporation and deferred tax postings.
* Prepare corporation and deferred tax calculations for statutory accounts, including preparation of tax notes.
* Maintain tax processes, controls, and documentation, including the tax risk and control register.
* Support Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) compliance activities.
* Assist with ad-hoc tax projects and queries, including capital allowances, transfer pricing documentation, and corporate interest restriction calculations.
* Support internal and external tax reporting under IFRS and other applicable frameworks.
* Act as a key contact for internal and external auditors regarding tax compliance and reporting.
* Identify and implement improvements to tax and reporting processes.
Financial Reporting & Accounting
* Support the monthly management accounts close process.
* Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items.
* Assist with statutory accounts preparation and wider financial reporting activities as the role evolves.
* Support continuous improvement of financial controls and reporting processes.

Candidate Profile
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CTA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
* Strong understanding of UK corporate tax and VAT compliance.
* Experience preparing tax calculations and supporting statutory accounts.
* Knowledge of IFRS reporting frameworks is advantageous.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with finance teams, auditors, and external advisors.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
