Test Architect - Fully Remote (NI / Border Counties) - up to £85k (Euro-benchmarked)
The Role
We are working with a client we are genuinely proud to partner with, recognised as the leading player in their space and currently scaling rapidly. They are building out a high-performing engineering function and are now hiring a Test Architect to define and mature their overall quality strategy.
This is not a hands-on testing role. The focus is on building test strategy, frameworks, governance and processes that enable multiple engineering teams to deliver at pace while maintaining high quality standards. You will work closely with Staff and Senior Engineers in a lean, agile environment where engineering standards and automation maturity are taken seriously.
The role is fully remote for candidates based in Northern Ireland or border Ulster counties, with salary benchmarked against Euro markets, offering strong compensation for the local market.
What You'll Be Doing
Owning and evolving the overall test strategy across multiple product teams
Designing scalable test frameworks and defining automation standards (primarily .NET based systems)
Defining test plans, coverage models and quality gates across the SDLC
Partnering with engineering leadership to embed quality into delivery pipelines
Advising teams on best practices in automation, performance, security and non-functional testing
Helping move the organisation towards higher test maturity without slowing delivery
Supporting continuous improvement of CI/CD quality controls and reporting
Tech Environment
Primary stack is .NET / C# based microservices and APIs
Modern cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
Strong focus on automation and testability rather than manual testing
What They're Looking For
Proven experience in a Test Architect or senior quality leadership role
Strong background in defining test strategies for .NET based systems
Experience building automation frameworks and quality governance models
Comfort working in fast-moving, product-led, agile teams
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence engineering culture
Background working closely with senior and staff-level engineers
Why This Role
Fully remote within Northern Ireland or border Ulster counties
Salary up to £85k, benchmarked against Euro markets
Work with a market-leading product company in a genuine scale-up phase
High impact role shaping how quality is delivered across the business
Long-term progression into wider engineering leadership if desired
