Pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It is our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you would like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
Availability and scheduling
The table shows the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work: the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you'll have 3 weeks' notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility, so if the times you are available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we would still love to hear from you.

Your responsibilities
* Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; providing great natural service
* Being knowledgeable about the products and services within the store
* Working across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required
* Applying training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly
* Making decisions that are right for customers; delivering routines that meet customer needs
* Participating in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere
* Understanding store performance and the role you play to drive service, sales, minimize waste and protect profit
* Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition
* Living Tesco values, being welcoming and following policies
* Occasionally assisting with deliveries into the store
