Futures are looking to appoint a Service Engineer to join our clients growing team, supporting high precision 3 5 axis CNC machine tools across the UK and internationally.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in CNC machinery, precision engineering, and customer support to work with advanced machining technologies in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of high-specification CNC machine tools at customer sites worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
* Install and commission high precision 3 5 axis CNC machine tools at customer facilities.
* Carry out preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and repair activities.
* Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and CNC control faults efficiently.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting both on-site and remotely.
* Calibrate and align machines to ensure optimal precision and performance.
* Support machine upgrades, retrofits, and software updates where required.
* Deliver customer training on machine operation and maintenance best practices.
* Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
* Work closely with internal engineering and technical support teams to resolve complex issues.
* Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times.
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures and company policies.
* Travel extensively throughout the UK and internationally as required.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience servicing CNC machine tools, ideally 3 5 axis machining centres.
* Strong understanding of CNC controls such as Siemens, Heidenhain, Fanuc, or Mazatrol.
* Excellent fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
* Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the UK and globally.
* HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
