Description
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone eager to learn the trade of wood machining in a dynamic, workshop environment. Under the guidance of experienced machinists, you will gain practical and theoretical knowledge to operate key woodworking machinery used in the production of high-quality kitchen components.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn to safely operate and maintain a range of woodworking machines, including:
Spindle Moulder
Tenoner
Bandsaw
Moulder
Panel Saw
Assist with the preparation, cutting, and shaping of timber components to precise specifications.
Read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists.
Follow strict health and safety procedures in the workshop.
Carry out quality checks to ensure finished products meet company standards.
Support experienced machinists and production staff with various workshop tasks.
Keep the work area clean, organised, and free from hazards.

A genuine interest in woodworking and manufacturing.
Good practical and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior staff.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of workplace health and safety.
