Help children find their voice as a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant in Salford!
Step Teachers are working with a wonderful special needs school in Salford, and they're on the lookout for a caring, enthusiastic Speech & Language Teaching Assistant to join their team.
What You'll Do
* Support pupils across the school with speech, language & communication needs.
* Use strategies like PECS, Makaton, social stories and visual supports.
* Provide both 1:1 and small group sessions.
* Encourage communication through play, positive reinforcement & creativity.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCO, speech therapists & families.
* Celebrate every achievement and track progress with pride.
Details
* Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:15-3:15pm.
* Start: ASAP.
* Pay: £90-100/day (DOE), paid PAYE (no umbrella).
* Future: Potential permanent role.

What We're Looking For
* Experience supporting children/young people, ideally with SEN or communication needs.
* Knowledge of PECS, Makaton or similar tools is a big plus.
* DBS (or willing to apply), right to work in the UK & 2 years of references.
* Someone reliable, patient & passionate about helping pupils communicate and thrive.
