Join AA-X as a Backend Engineer: Drive seamless system integration, deliver clean APIs, and ensure top-notch performance and scalability.
As a Backend Engineer within AA-X, your mission will be tasked with building and maintaining the system's functionality. You’ll ensure seamless integration of the application with necessary systems and services, delivering clean and user-friendly APIs and data streams for the frontend. You’ll aid with the application's functionality, performance, and scalability. Within role, you will excel in writing modern, clean APIs, integrating with legacy systems, and managing databases.
What will I be doing?
* Design and develop robust business logic, backend systems, and services.
* Collaborate with frontend developers to create functional, high-performance, and comprehensive APIs.
* Integrate and connect the application with existing systems seamlessly.
* Write unit and integration tests, and develop automation tools to streamline daily tasks.
* Develop efficient, well-documented, and high-quality code while challenging ideas to avoid pitfalls and inefficiencies.
What do I need?
* Experience within backend engineering/development using common languages and frameworks, preferably Java Spring Boot.
* Proficient in database systems, including SQL and NoSQL stores (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB), and skilled in writing effective unit, integration, and API tests.
* Familiar with cloud computing services, preferably AWS, and knowledgeable about DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
* Experience of Object-Oriented programming and engineering principles like SOLID, with significant experience in RESTful API services and performance tuning for large-scale applications.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering complex messages and explaining trade-offs to corporate stakeholders.
* Collaborative team player with a problem-solving mindset, open to learning new ideas, and willing to innovate and experiment.
