Job overview

This Commercial Procurement Analytics Manager role will support with key procurement analytics deliverables across all teams within the Commercial Procurement Services team, as well as supporting initiatives across North-East London (NEL).
This role will assist with the implementation of the BHRUT vision and strategy for Commercial Procurement, as approved by the Trust Board, with a specific focus on supporting across the entire spectrum of procurement analytics. This role will support the Trust towards delivering a Best in Class Commercial Procurement Service for BHRUT and Integrated Collaboration across North East London (NEL).
The role will also involve working as part of a team of Procurement analytics staff to work and support collaboratively in a matrix structure on a project and programme specific basis, as directed by the Associate Director of Commercial Procurement Strategy, Governance and Reporting, the Associate Director of Commercial Procurement Supply Chain Operations and Transformation, and the Head of Commercial Procurement Analytics.

Main duties of the job

• To support with the development of operational and strategic plans that deliver savings and provide improved value for money across all teams within the Commercial Procurement Services team as well as on a Trust-wide basis.
• Support with the development and ongoing management of the Procurement Analytics Model (PAM) and any other procurement analytics models, databases (e.g. SQL) and programmes; specifically lead within the Commercial Procurement analytics team on PAM enhancements linked to Data architecture, analysis and data modelling with the development and ongoing management of key procurement analytics activities, projects and programmes linked to Data architecture and analysis.
• with operational delivery and support in the capacity of Procurement analytics in relation to the Trust’s Automated Inventory Management System (AIMS) Omnicell, Trust’s finance and procurement system (SBS), Procurement Analytics Model (PAM, procurement catalogue system (GHX) and all other Trust and NEL systems/processes.
• with all Procurement analytics planning across the Commercial Procurement Services function and NEL, linked to Data architecture, analysis and data modelling.
• with efficiency and improvement outcomes across the Commercial Procurement Services function, using Data architecture, analysis and data modelling tools to develop and improve transactional procurement systems and processes, data analytics related procurement analytics activities and outputs.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

1. Professional qualification in Procurement analytics across the areas of P2P, data analytics, catalogue management or equivalent experience.
2. Evidence of continuing professional development across the spectrum of Procurement analytics; specifically P2P, Data and catalogue management
3. Graduate qualification in a Procurement analytics and/or data analytics related field or equivalent experience
4. Working towards full Professional qualification in Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS)
5. Postgraduate / Professional qualification in or equivalent experience working in a data service
6. Working towards or has the DAMA associate level qualification in Data Management
7. SQL related qualification or equivalent significant experience

Desirable criteria

8. Full Professional qualification in Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent full qualification and membership or equivalent experience
9. Postgraduate Procurement analytics related qualification or equivalent qualification and/or experience.
10. Prince 2 Project Management qualification or equivalent
