Senior IT Support Analyst -

We're supporting a leading organisation in a highly regulated engineering sector that is seeking a skilled Senior IT Support Analyst to join their team. This position offers the chance to work with cutting‑edge technologies, contribute to critical IT operations, and influence the stability and security of enterprise‑level systems.
The Role
As a Senior IT Support Analyst, you will:
1. Provide advanced support across hardware, software, networking, and security issues
2. Administer Windows Server (2019-2025), Active Directory, Entra ID, and RBAC
3. Manage PAM solutions and maintain secure access controls
4. Support and administer Microsoft 365, including Purview, Exchange Online, and Teams
5. Work with VMware vSphere and Horizon VDI environments
6. Ensure effective patching, maintenance, and compliance across systems
7. Assist with backup and disaster recovery processes
8. Support endpoint security and patching tools
9. Provide network troubleshooting assistance
10. Lead or participate in IT projects
11. Maintain clear, accurate documentation
12. Occasionally provide out-of-hours support when required
What You'll Bring
Essential Skills & Experience
13. Strong experience in 2nd line or senior IT support roles within enterprise environments
14. Deep understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
15. Good knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
16. Hands-on experience with VMware virtualisation
17. Knowledge of backup and recovery processes
18. Awareness of security and compliance frameworks such as: ISO 27001 Cyber Essentials Plus CAF 2.0
19. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
20. Experience supporting Autodesk software (desirable)
21. UK national (required to meet SC clearance criteria)
22. Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills
23. Exposure to hybrid cloud environments (Azure/AWS)
24. Experience with Nutanix AHV, Hyper‑V, or Azure-based hypervisors
25. Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune)
26. Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and testing
27. SAP S/4HANA exposure
