We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Apprentice to join our team specializing in Finance for our Cummins Generator Technologies business unit in Peterborough. During your apprenticeship with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
1. Post monthly and quarterly journal entries
2. Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations
3. Support with close checks
4. Manual entry of bank payments and cashbook entries
5. Support to maintain lease system and Fixed Asset (Addition/ Disposal).
6. Complete monthly VAT returns.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
7. Obtained equivalent of GCSEs in Maths, English Language and literature grade 5/B or above including a 4/C or above in 3 other subjects taken.
8. A Level equivalent qualification in Maths or Accounting/Finance related field or an AAT Level 2.
9. Proficient IT and MS office skills (including Excel).
10. Good communication skills and reliable
11. Proactive and action orientated
12. Detail orientated and organised to manage own workload
