Health & Safety Manager
Location: Gainsborough (Head Office and Manufacturing Site)
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experienceThis is an opportunity to take ownership of health and safety across a business that operates from several locations throughout the UK. The head office and main manufacturing facility is based in Gainsborough, supported by offices in other regions. The Gainsborough site is a busy, hands-on environment where safety andpliance are critical, and where your influence will make a real difference.
We are looking for a Health and Safety Manager who canbine operational delivery with strategic leadership. You will be responsible for ensuringpliance across all sites, but equally important is your ability to engage with people at every level of the organisation. From the shop floor to senior management, you will build trust, promote best practice, and embed a culture where safety is second nature.
What will you be doing?
1. Developing and maintaining a robust Health and Safety Management System that meets all regulatory requirements.
2. Leading audits, inspections, and risk assessments, and driving continuous improvement.
3. Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
4. Designing and delivering training that resonates with manufacturing teams and builds confidence.
5. Promoting a proactive safety culture through engagement initiatives and clearmunication.
What are we looking for?
6. A strong background in manufacturing environments.
7. NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) as a minimum.
8. The ability to engage and inspire, building trust and driving change.
9. A logical, pragmatic mindset that turnspliance intomon sense.
