National Account Manager - £45,000 DOE + Car allowance or Company Car + Yearly Bonus

One of the world's leading consumer brands is seeking a National Account Manager to manage and grow both existing and new key accounts.

The role involves managing and developing national key accounts to drive business growth.

Please note: this role is both office and field-based, so a full clean driving licence is required. Ideally, you will be based in central England within a commutable distance from Bedford.


Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the complete accounts process, including pricing audits, customer presentations, internal file management, product launches, category management, promotional initiatives, and more.
2. Collaborate with the Business Manager to ensure key KPIs are met within assigned accounts.
3. Work with relevant buyers to present new products to buyers, managers, and marketing departments within the account portfolio.
4. Maximise account profit through effective negotiation and the implementation of promotional sales budgets, retail promotion plans, and category management initiatives.
5. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the accounts.
6. Build strong relationships at all levels within the accounts.
7. Maintain pricing and forecasting files.
8. Utilise SAP and coordinate with the Customer Service Group and Logistics department to track sales orders and customer service levels, investigating and resolving delivery issues.
9. Attend head office meetings and coordinate ad hoc projects such as training, marketing, sales reports, and promotional events.
10. Require experience in working within a National Account Management environment for a consumer brand.
11. Experience working with large retailers.
12. Possess commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
13. Be a self-motivated, proactive individual with strong selling skills and a drive to achieve targets.
14. Have strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
15. Exhibit excellent customer focus (internal and external stakeholders) and attention to detail.
16. Demonstrate tenacity and determination, with the ability to work under pressure without line supervision.
