We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Officer to join our dynamic Development Management team of Planners and Technical Support Staff who all work together to deliver high-quality developments, and improve the quality of the built and natural environment across the district.
You will work in an area team on a case load of varying scales of applications, dealing with all stages of the development management process giving pre-application advice, making site visits, writing reports, making recommendations on your own cases, signing decisions on planning officer’s cases, discharging conditions and representing the council in appeals and at planning committee.

You are a Teignbridge District Council fit if you have:
10. A degree/diploma in Town and Country Planning or related subject.
11. Recent and relevant skills and knowledge relating to Development Management.
12. Experience within a Local Planning Authority, preferably in a rural location.
13. Membership of the RTPI.
14. A full driving licence and be able to undertake site visits around the District as public transport is limited.
