Key Responsibilities
 * Shape and execute a new, multiplatform strand of compelling, real‑world reporting on our audience’s financial challenges – and how experts can help them
 * Find and interview case studies that illustrate the personal impact of money and finance issues, linking them with a roster of experts where format requires
 * Build and maintain a strong network of contacts willing to share their real‑life experiences of mortgages, debt, savings, pensions, and consumer issues
 * Work closely with our video team to experiment with people‑led, social‑first content that helps people save money, make smarter financial decisions, and feel represented in coverage
 * Work closely with SEO and social specialists to spot trends and emerging themes that resonate with our growing subscriber base – and reach new audiences
 * Liaise daily with platform and audience specialists across the newsroom, using data to inform commissioning, ensuring content reaches and engages large, diverse audiences
Essential Skills
 * Demonstrable experience in multi‑platform, case study‑led reporting (consumer, lifestyle, money, or health beats ideal)
 * Strong interviewing and visual storytelling skills, with an ability to handle sensitive topics with care and demonstrate sound editorial judgement
 * Proven ability to turn complex financial issues into engaging, human‑centred journalism
 * Demonstrable knowledge of digital publishing tools, SEO, and analytics, with a sharp eye for what resonates with online audiences
 * Skilled at building networks of experts, industry insiders, and case studies
 * Growth mindset, with demonstrable ability to adapt to audience needs while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and creativity
 * Commitment to developing and testing new formats, with creativity and positivity
 * Enthusiasm for audience‑centric commissioning and reporting – putting our new subscribers at the heart of every decision
