We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Housing Benefit and Council Tax team. The role will play a key part ensuring the timely process of Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction and dealing with customer enquiries over the telephone. You will be responsible for accurately processing benefit applications in accordance with legislation, ensuring agreed timescale are met. In addition this role involves answering customers enquiries relating to all Revenue and Benefits enquiries. Additionally, this role involves visiting customers to determine if they are eligible or receiving the correct level of Council Tax discount/exemptions. You should be organised with the ability to multitask, have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and a customer focused approach. You should be able to work independently. A good understanding of Housing Benefit and Council Tax regulations would be desirable. The successful candidate will be required to undertake Level 1 Disclosure check.
