Overview
As part of the Infrastructure Category Team, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end procurement for major Manufacturing Equipment projects across our Samlesbury and Warton sites
Skills
1. A strong background in procurement or supply chain, ideally with experience in manufacturing equipment or construction categories
2. Solid understanding of contract law and commercial terms, with strong negotiation skills
3. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels
4. The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word
6. Ideally, 5+ years of procurement experience, and CIPS accreditation
The Job
7. Leading procurement activity for capital equipment and manufacturing infrastructure
8. Developing and executing strategic procurement and contracting plans
9. Preparing RFPs and pre-qualification documents, and leading competitive tenders
10. Collaborating with internal SMEs and stakeholders to assess bids and select suppliers
11. Drafting and negotiating robust, commercially sound contracts
12. Delivering cost savings and value through effective supplier management
13. Visiting supplier sites and evaluating capabilities where required
14. Continuously seeking process improvements and innovation
