Job Details We have a role for a Senior Dispenser in our Prescription Processing & Admin Team which can be based at either our Northampton Site or our South Normanton Site. This role is 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday. Job Purpose: To work as part of an enthusiastic and highly motivated Homecare Pharmacy team, to deliver an organised, efficient and accurate dispensing service which exceeds customer expectation by your dedication to patient care. To work alongside the other members of the Prescription Management Team and assist with the management and organisation of all teams within the Prescription Processing and Admin department. Be a key contact for the Prescription Processing and Administration Team, ensuring the smooth running of the operation, communicating internally and externally as required and implementing any new services into the team safely and effectively, including ensuring all team members are trained in key competencies for their role. To deputise for the Prescription Processing and Admin Team Manager when required and assist in the line management of nominated individuals as agreed. Adhere to relevant SOPs and raise any non-conformances in line with company policy. Maintain compliance with Healthconnect and Prescription Management Procedures and e nsure compliance with Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GDP and Health & Safety. Key Accountabilities: Undertake the coordination and organisation of the workflow within the Dispensary and Prescription Processing teams, with a key responsibility for the Prescription Processing and Administration processes. Regularly review SOPs and Training documents to ensure they are adhered to and accurate, with key responsibility for all those relating to Prescription Processing and Administration. Manage the query resolution for any queries, with a key responsibility for the timely resolution of any prescription queries, which will involve communicating professionally both internally and externally with patients, customers and colleagues. Assist in conducting formal and informal training to Prescription Processing and Admin Team members as needed. Support the Prescription Processing and Admin Management Team in managing both the Prescription Processing and Admin Teams, including query management and KPI reporting. Assist in the management of nominated individuals as agreed to include performance management, objective setting, appraisal cycle and HR issues with support from the Senior Prescription Processing and Admin Management Team. Provide clear and concise briefings when required to the Prescription Processing and Admin Management and Operations Management Team. Provide feedback to the Pharmacy Management Team on general day to day performance and work to resolve any issues. Complete CAPA investigations and carry out root cause analysis for complaints and incidents through Q-Pulse, implementing preventative actions with support from the Prescription Processing and Admin Management Team where needed. Lead or participate in the implementation of new contracts and projects as needed, under the direction of the Prescription Processing and Admin Management Team. Communicate professionally with customers both internal and external. Assist in the coaching and training of new and current procedures where necessary and ensure all training plans are complete and up to date. To help the site management ensure the security of the personnel, premises and stock at all times, following established procedures and protocols. Involvement in Implementation and Commercial Operations calls to follow upcoming changes.
