The Deputy Catering Manager will work closely with the Catering Services Manager on the operational management of the Catering Service at Oldham Care Organisations.
Working within prescribed budgetary limits, the Deputy Catering Manager will assist in providing a comprehensive, high quality, and cost‑effective service to patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
* Recruit, select, provide welfare support and apply disciplinary procedures to staff.
* Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, quality, and nutrition.
* Show leadership in achieving and maintaining health & safety standards through the development of monitoring systems, policies, procedures, risk assessments, and action plans.
* Respond to and monitor complaints regarding the department.
* Assist in Trust‑wide strategic catering developments and lead delegated activities and projects, including assessments, written reports, and implementation of new ways of working.
* Manage change to working practices, conflict, and culture change across own and other areas, ensuring evidence‑based approaches, compliance with health and safety legislation, and cost‑effectiveness.
* Manage all retail outlets, produce monthly trading accounts, and drive improvements and sales to meet staff, visitor, and patient needs.
