You will carry out various duties on the production line, your working hours will be Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. This post is a permanent position with an immediate start date. To find out more about us visit us on ukimplant.co.uk Job Purpose : Produce medical devices by carrying out and monitoring production line operations. Job description -Main Duties : Setup production equipment - including CNC milling machine, air-flow units, pouch sealer etc. - for operations by making equipment set-up adjustments; assisting with equipment changeovers. Prepare production areas- maintaining the necessary standards for medical device manufacturing, i.e. cleanroom standards, carrying out daily cleaning of all work surfaces and recording activities carried out. Document production processes by completing production logs; noting the receipt, flow, and return of materials into warehouse, scanning barcodes, noting bins / racks / inspection slips / log sheets / cleaning production areas, and preparing dispatch of products from finished goods store. Carrying out specific production processes, including operating CNC milling machine, inspecting and cleaning medical devices under microscope, sealing products in pouches, packing lenses, printing labels, and dispatching orders. Maintain quality standards by conducting product inspections at different stages; completing batch manufacturing records; making equipment adjustments as needed,reporting production and quality results, referring questions to the supervisor. Follow policies and procedures (of equipment, raw and in-process materials, and finished goods etc); reporting needed changes. Maintains safe and clean working environment, by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Skills/Qualifications: Minimum qualification : GCSE / Scottish or equivalent Essential skills : Basic familiarity with computer use, proficient in written/spoken English and basic numeracy needed. All production related training will be provided ; no previousproduction experienceis required but any experience in the following areas would be valued: Safety management, accurate record keeping/data logging, use of CNC machine,strong attention to details, machine maintenance, familiar with the use of microscope, production work in any capacity, quality control, cleanroom operations, working individually and as part of a team with good communication skills.
