Farm Irrigation Technician
Salary: £16.50 per hour (Temp-to-Perm, 42 hours per week, overtime available)

Barker Ross is recruiting for an Irrigation Engineer to join a well-known agricultural engineering business in Corby. This is a hands-on, practical role working with irrigation systems and farm machinery, ideal for candidates with mechanical or farm maintenance experience.
The Role
Servicing, inspection, and repair of irrigation equipment and farm machinery, including:
Hose reels
Irrigation booms
Water pumps
General farm machinery
Mainly workshop-based, with occasional travel to customer sites for breakdown support during peak seasons
Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain, and repair irrigation equipment and farm machinery
Carry out inspections and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults
Attend on-site breakdowns when required
Complete service documentation accurately
What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience with irrigation systems and/or farm machinery
Strong mechanical knowledge and practical problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Full UK driving licence
Desirable (Not Essential):
Basic hydraulic or electrical knowledge
Welding or fabrication experience
Forklift licence
Working Hours
Monday-Thursday: 08:00-17:00
Friday: 08:00-16:30
On-call rota required
