Our client is a leading food manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are part of a global group with multiple sites in the UK and are looking for an Engineering Team Leader to lead their shift engineers.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production & packaging machinery
* Electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving and repairs
* PLC - electrical fault finding
* PPM planning, workload scheduling, CMMS system management, attend meetings, contractor management, toolbox audits, set KPi's, monitor shift performance
* Promote a health & safety conscious environment
* Continuous improvement projects
* Dealing with motors, servo drives, contactors, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, inverters
* Management of stores, ordering of spares & parts when needed
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Must be a strong man-manager, leader & coach
* Able to make decisions effectively and prioritise tasks
* NVQ Level 3 engineering or maintenance minimum
* Effective communicator, approachable and dependable character
* Ideally have previously been team leader / supervisor
* Must have completed a time-served-apprenticeship, with 5+ years experience outside of it
* Strong electrical & mechanical problem solving skills
* Ideally have worked in food manufacturing industry
* Knowledge of PLC's, automation & control systems, HMi's beneficial
* Knowledge of food safety / hygiene beneficial
* Continuous improvement mentality
