Job summary
We are looking for a Service Lead for our Smoking Cessation Team. This key role involves leading the planning and delivery of an effective community service across Powys, including managing a team of smoking advisors. The role also requires working in partnership to support and ensure high-quality delivery of a broad range of smoking cessation services aligned with the Welsh Government's 'Help Me Quit' (HMQ) programme, including HMQ Hospital, HMQ Baby, and HMQ Pharmacy. Effective collaborative working with key partners and stakeholders within Powys is essential to meet Welsh Government smoking cessation targets, reduce smoking prevalence, and improve health and wellbeing in the Powys population.

Main duties
This role involves leading the planning and delivery of community services across Powys, managing a team of smoking advisors, and working in partnership to deliver high-quality smoking cessation services aligned with the HMQ programme. Collaborative working with partners and stakeholders is vital to achieving Welsh Government targets and improving community health. The successful candidate will be passionate about smoking cessation, possess excellent communication skills, and be dynamic and inspirational in leading the service to support smokers in quitting.
Desirable: The ability to speak Welsh is advantageous, but applications from English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
