Interim Transport Support Services Manager

Pay Rate: £311.87 per day

Job Responsibilities
Oversee the delivery and management of transport support services within the council.
Coordinate daily operations and ensure efficient scheduling of transport resources.
Manage a team of transport staff, including performance management and training.
Ensure compliance with all relevant transport, safety, and employment regulations.
Monitor budgets and control operational costs within the transport department.
Maintain accurate records and reports on transport activities, incidents, and performance.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, external partners, and service users to ensure high-quality transport services.
Implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure service efficiency and safety.
Person Specification
Must Have
Proven experience in managing transport or support services teams.
Strong knowledge of transport operations, regulations, and safety standards.
Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
Ability to manage budgets and operational costs effectively.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Up-to-date Enhanced DBS clearance (Adults and Children).
Nice to Have
Previous experience working in a local authority or public sector environment.
Experience in service improvement and implementing operational efficiencies.
Familiarity with transport scheduling software or systems.
Additional transport-related qualifications or professional certifications.
