Job Description
Primary objective for the Swimming Teacher:
1. Deliver group and one-to-one lessons to a variety of ages and abilities as part of our Learn to Swim Programme, following the Swim England's Learn to Swim Framework.
2. Deliver at least 1 crash course during the year within our Learn to Swim Programme.
3. Provide high-quality lessons in line with the company's expected standards and schemes of work.
4. Implement the company's internal water safety competencies "Swim Safer, Smarter, Stronger".
5. Deliver both in and out of the water, providing explanations and demonstrating appropriate swimming techniques for each skill level.
6. Carry out ongoing assessments and update the child's progression via the tablet after each lesson.
7. Adhere to all health and safety protocols as stipulated in the company's policies and procedures.
8. Must hold an NRASTC qualification and conduct own lifeguard sessions when subject to local NOP/EAP.
9. Continue professional development through various CPDs hosted by the company.
10. Maximize the retention of swim school participants through quality standards, motivation, and customer care.
11. Ensure strong communication links between yourself, the swim manager, reception, and duty management.
12. Maintain a passion for improving our swim lesson programme and enhancing service to swimmers and customers.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
* SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification or equivalent.
* NPLQ or NRASTC.
