computer2cloud is seeking a motivated and adaptable Trust Support Engineer to join our growing Educational Services team.
In this role, you will provide both face‑to‑face and remote IT support across a Multi‑Academy Trust (MAT) delivering Primary, Secondary and Post‑16 education in Seaford, East Sussex.
You will be key in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of IT services across multiple school sites.
This is a permanent, full‑time role (37.5 hours/week) based primarily at the Trust’s main site, with travel to other MAT sites within Seaford, East Sussex as support demand requires.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver on‑site IT support across three MAT locations in Seaford.
* Diagnose and resolve IT issues for staff and students, both in person and remotely.
* Assist with maintaining, updating, and supporting hardware, software, and core network systems.
* Provide end‑user support for a range of IT applications.
* Support IT projects and assist in the rollout of new technologies.
* Respond to on‑demand IT support requests across Trust sites, attending in person where required.
About You
* Right to work in the UK.
* Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Seaford, East Sussex.
* Ideally have 12 months+ 1st Line IT support experience in an IT Service Desk, MSP, or Educational environment.
* Alternatively have recently qualified from an IT apprenticeship or have recently attained an NVQ Level 3/A‑Level in an IT‑related subject and keen to begin a career in IT.
* Good understanding of IT fundamentals, including hardware, software, networking, and server technologies.
* Experience in Microsoft 365.
* Experience in Active Directory.
* Experience in Windows Server (Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, File & Print Services, etc.).
* Experience in Windows 10/11 (intermediate to advanced support).
* Experience in PC hardware repair (desktop and laptop).
* Experience in Audio‑visual equipment (projectors, smartboards, speakers, visualisers, etc.).
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proactive, team‑focused, and positive “can‑do” attitude.
* Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle suitable for business use.
* Appointment subject to Enhanced DBS check (funded by us).
Desirable Experience
* Previous 1st Line IT Support experience in an Educational setting.
* Familiarity with Cisco Meraki LAN/Wi‑Fi infrastructure and Microsoft HyperV virtualisation services.
* Experience supporting Education‑specific software such as SIMS, Arbor, EdulinkOne, 4Matrix, Salamander, Microsoft SDS, GroupCall Xporter, or Wonde.
* Relevant IT certifications (e.g. Microsoft MCA certification, Microsoft 365/Azure Fundamentals, CompTIA).
