Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Delivering Specialized Instruction: Tailor your teaching to meet the unique needs of K-12 students with disabilities.
* Developing IEPs: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement Individualized Education Programs.
* Monitoring Progress: Track student growth and adapt your teaching methods to ensure engagement and success.
* Maintaining Documentation: Keep detailed records and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
* Collaborating for Success: Work closely with parents, administrators, and support staff to foster inclusion and promote student achievement.
What We’re Looking For:
* Certification: A valid Illinois Special Education teaching certification (IL SPED) is required.
* Experience: At least 1+ years in special education, preferably in a specialized classroom environment.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of state and federal special education laws and best practices.
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to create a supportive classroom atmosphere.
* Commitment: A dedication to professional development and student-centered teaching approaches.
