This role covers the Account interface and all Tendering activities between Prysmian UK - PD Business Unit and its Utility, Contracting and Rail Infrastructure customers for Power Distribution. Our focus is on "Business to Business" sales of underground cables where you will have direct customer contact as we aim to develop customer relationships with major UK clients who work in the Energy, Rail and Renewable industries. The Power Distribution network is expected to see significant investment in the near future as the distribution grid is enhanced to deliver projects such Electric Vehicle charging points contributing to Net Zero targets. We are looking for a person who is keen to show enthusiasm in contributing towards these targets. Role Profile Become the point of contact for Independent Connection Providers and Cable Contractors through managing and issuing quotations and follow ups to establish strong relationships and repeat business. Bringing customers through to a Key Account status. Analyse cable tender requests and contract related documents from Distribution Network Operators, and work closely with various internal departments to prepare a comprehensive tender response including cost/pricing analysis Collate customer and competitor intelligence in innovations in products and services and market price trends Ensure customers receive quotations following the defined pricing policies and guidelines Serve as a liaison between clients and company departments gathering necessary information to respond to customer requests in a timely manner Coordinate analysis of KPIs and business trends through the provision and analysis of key reports Contribute to the marketing of the Power Distribution business to our customer base Some travel to UK based customers will be required. EXPERIENCE Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel is essential and knowledge of the SAP operating system would be beneficial. Attention to detail is paramount with a can-do attitude; be flexible with the ability to adapt to a changing working environment and demonstrate excellent communication skills. A full valid UK driving licence is essential.
