Job Description
Opportunities have arisen for Relief Early Years Practitioners to act as members of the Early Learning and Childcare teams, with full involvement in the work of the Early Level curriculum and helping to contribute to the care and education of children.
This is a relief post with no guaranteed hours per week. We are particularly seeking flexible practitioners who are able to works between the hours of 8am and 6pm. We will consider applications for areas across Aberdeenshire and are particularly interested in applicants who can work in the following areas:
* Inverurie
* Kemnay
* Fraserburgh
* Peterhead
* Banchory clusters.
This position is subject to Local Government terms and Conditions.
Act as a member of Early Learning and Childcare team, with full involvement in the
work of the Early Level curriculum, and where appropriate the pre-Birth to Three
Framework, helping to contribute to the care and education of children.There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

From 13th February 2025, Aberdeenshire Council schools and educational settings will be using the Teacher Booker system to publish relief work opportunities.
If you are appointed to a relief position you will be required to register into the Aberdeenshire Council relief pool on the Teacher Booker system to receive notifications of these opportunities and apply for them.

Requirements
This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.
