What you’ll do on a typical day:
Operational performance, achieving weekly and monthly targets through effective use of transport systems
* Fleet & compliance management, overseeing driver and transport colleagues, ensuring adherence to company guidelines, Road Traffic Act, and health & safety regulations
* Communication and shift briefings, being clear with expectations, sharing success and performance updates, company news and maintaining communication with stores
* Team leadership & union relations, motivating and guide the transport team while fostering positive relationships with unions and their representatives
* Service excellence & flexibility, delivering first-class service to the store network and undertake additional duties to support smooth departmental operations
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Fast-paced operational experience with knowledge in transport legislation (CPC beneficial)
* Experience of leading/coaching and managing a team, with focus on colleague engagement
* Passionate to find opportunity and use initiative
* IT savvy with strong PC skills
* General awareness of health and safety, with promoting best-in-class delivery
