Salary: £23,600 to £25,000 depending on experience
Working Hours: Full time, 36 hours per week
Our Core Banking team handles calls with our Savings and Loans customers. You will engage with customers via inbound and outbound calls, assisting with account openings, fund transfers, digital banking, and more, ensuring their financial needs are met promptly and efficiently. You will help resolve customer queries and complaints, maintaining an energetic and collaborative environment that fosters professional growth. Your ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to a busy call centre while providing exceptional customer service will be key to your success.
Initially, you will undergo onsite training and be placed in our graduate bay before transitioning to your team, all while remaining office-based. Once you reach competency, you can request to transition to a primarily remote working arrangement through our ‘Moments that Matter’ model, allowing you to work from home most of the time and join colleagues in the office for significant occasions such as team meetings and social events.
You will be responsible for:
* Using excellent listening and relationship-building skills to provide outstanding customer service
* Managing high call volumes efficiently while ensuring a positive customer experience
* Engaging with customers across communication channels, mainly inbound calls, with occasional outbound calls
* Taking full ownership of assisting customers from initial contact to resolution
* Using your judgment to handle and resolve queries, accessing relevant support tools as needed
* Listening to customers’ personal circumstances to understand their needs and provide personalized solutions
* Documenting interactions, issues, and resolutions accurately within our systems
* Educating customers about our products and services when requested, with full training provided to become a Tesco Bank product expert
You will need:
* A passion for delivering excellent customer experiences and finding the best outcomes for customers
* Previous customer service experience within a call centre preferred; transferable skills from retail, hospitality, or leisure are also valued
* Proficiency in written and verbal communication, listening, and empathy, with resilience to handle complex challenges
* Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Office, as multitasking across multiple systems is essential
